EIL Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility requirements differ according to the position and grade. Candidates must meet the required educational qualifications, post-qualification experience and age criteria as of 30 September 2026.

Educational Qualifications

Associate Engineer Grade II, III and IV

Candidates must possess a B.E., B.Tech or B.Sc. Engineering degree in the relevant discipline, generally with at least 60% marks.

Relevant engineering specialisations include:

• Electrical Engineering
• Instrumentation Engineering
• Welding
• Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)

For Welding and NDT positions, candidates must hold a Mechanical Engineering degree and the prescribed ASNT/ISNT Level-II certification in relevant testing methods such as RT, UT, DPT or MPT, as applicable.

Associate Officer Grade II

EIL Recruitment 2026 Salary

The recruitment offers consolidated monthly remuneration ranging from ₹72,000 to ₹1,12,000, depending on the grade.

Candidates posted to overseas construction projects may also receive foreign-location allowances and other applicable benefits according to EIL policies.

As these posts are fixed-term engagements, candidates should not assume that they carry the same salary structure, increments or retirement benefits as regular permanent EIL employees.

Contract Duration and Job Location

The initial period of engagement is two years. It may be extended by up to one additional year, making the total possible tenure three years, depending on project requirements and applicable conditions.
